he knew he was right

Aaarghh, been attacked by the flu virus, feel like crap at the mo and have like a ton of things to do, well i've managed to settle most of it. Now all's left is cleaning my room, but there's this nagging thot dat i've still got stuff i haven't done...oh man dats rite, go to jacky's hse to grab some t-shirts.

Was watching this brit mini-series last nite called He Knew HE Was Right and I'm thinking, why would u want to allow urself to die because u think a person doesn't trust u? i mean even though u love someone heaps, why would u let urself go because of a tiny little mistrust, but the funniest thing is that this dude Louis Trevelyan chose to not believe his wife and separated from her because of what society was saying and the thing is, society consisted of silly gossipy girls that know no better but to poke thier noses into other ppls business. Why do ppl value thier reputation and status in society so much that they are willing to give up their own happiness and of those they love...so strange. I suppose this was how the Brits lived in the olden days. http://www.abc.net.au/tv/guide/netw/200406/highlights/230867.htm

But i guess this still happens in most chinese families, only this time it's not society we have to answer to but the extended family. God, when i look back and think of the times where i did something in order to gain my uncles' approval i feel so useless. It's like we children have no say in most of the family business and our achievments are constantly scrutinized by them. Sux...ok back to work.
